Role overview
PagerDuty seeks a Site Reliability Engineer II for the Core Infrastructure team supporting its real-time digital operations platform.
The role builds and operates foundational network, compute, Kubernetes, and ingress infrastructure while improving reliability, scalability, and security.
The position is based within PagerDuty's hybrid work model and supports systems handling millions of events and alerts daily.
Key responsibilities
- Support networking, compute platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and ingress or traffic management systems.
- Harden existing systems and support rollout of new infrastructure capabilities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress and risks early.
- Monitor system health through metrics, logs, and alerts.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for incident detection, response, and resolution.
- Stay current on technical trends and recommend innovative tools and approaches.
Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on production experience operating Linux-based systems.
