Role Overview
The Site Reliability Engineer II supports system reliability within JPMorgan Chase's Commercial and Investment Bank Payments Technology team.
The role uses software engineering and technology to solve business problems and improve production reliability.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute small to medium projects independently and progress toward designing and delivering projects autonomously.
- Write maintainable and robust code following software engineering best practices.
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve incidents while addressing root causes.
- Identify and eliminate operational toil through systems engineering and application-code improvements.
Observability and Reliability
- Implement and improve service-level indicators, objectives, monitoring, alerting, and telemetry solutions.
- Use operational signals to identify recurring toil and reliability risks.
- Prioritize reusable improvements and measurable SLO outcomes.
- Support production services through troubleshooting, deployments, and operational hygiene.
