Role Overview
The Site Operations Engineer will maintain operational readiness of the Digital Edge data center environment during 24/7 daily operation shifts.
The role is based at the Digha, Navi Mumbai site office and reports to the Data Centre Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain data center uptime and ensure service delivery against customer SLAs.
- Govern vendors, manage critical spares, and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Maintain safety compliance, physical security, and organizational policy adherence.
- Prepare and implement SOPs, EOPs, MOPs, permit-to-work documents, and risk assessments.
- Supervise installation and support for racks and customer equipment.
- Monitor customer applications, operational architecture, alarms, incidents, and root-cause analysis.
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, preventive maintenance, and breakdown response.
- Operate and maintain transformers, generator sets, electrical panels, UPS systems, server rooms, water treatment systems, firefighting systems, and HVAC systems.
- Monitor equipment through BMS and SCADA systems.
- Coordinate customer and internal or external audits, statutory waste disposal, project handovers, space and power management, and site cleanliness.
