Site Manager

Role Overview

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain site documentation, staffing levels, progress reporting, and project hit lists.
• Review mechanical and electrical installation drawings and maintain distribution of drawings and design documentation.
• Liaise with the client, builder, subcontractors, and project managers.
• Coordinate site activities with subcontractors and the builder.
• Manage site inventory of employer-supplied equipment.
• Ensure installation progress remains aligned with the project schedule.
• Coordinate quality inspections, commissioning schedules, and system testing.
• Obtain necessary materials and resources and provide advice on subcontractor progress claims.
• Manage subcontractors to minimize overall project costs.
• Ensure safe installation procedures are followed and prepare hazard assessments.
• Promote innovation, improvement, risk identification, and safety management.

Workplace Health, Safety and Environment

• Keep work areas and equipment under the manager's control safe and without risk to health or safety.
• Minimize environmental impacts and prevent pollution.
• Identify, assess, control, and report hazards and incidents through the employer's reporting process.
• Provide instruction, information, training, and supervision so workers, contractors, business partners, students, and others can work safely.

Requirements

• Ability to coordinate site installation and commissioning activities within contract schedule, budget, quality, and safety constraints.
• Ability to review mechanical and electrical installation drawings and maintain design documentation.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, client and builder coordination, progress reporting, and site documentation.
• Knowledge of hazard assessment, incident reporting, safe work procedures, and environmental controls.
