Site HSE Engineer

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSSE responsibilities are fulfilled with high quality and in a cost-effective manner.
• Liaise with the Quality and HSSE Section on construction HSSE plans.
• Conduct HSSE training and awareness sessions for supervision staff.
• Support Project Managers with client relations and expectations.
• Review contractor HSSE plans and risk assessments for compliance.
• Implement HSSE policies and procedures with contractors on site.
• Conduct audits and inspections and record safety defects.
• Prepare periodic HSSE performance reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents on site.
• Provide input to project progress reports.
• Maintain comprehensive HSE records and filing systems.
• Cooperate with project HSSE audits and implement corporate procedures.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• HSSE certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services and HSSE best practices.
• Understanding of local HSSE regulations.
• Good attention to detail, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with a regional or multinational engineering firm in an HSSE function.
• Experience in HSSE functions on construction or construction supervision projects.
• Experience with HSSE audit activities.
• Experience within the Middle East.

Workplace and Timing

• Job location is Riyadh.
• The role involves work on a project site.
• The stated start date is 2 August 2026.
