QA/QC Engineer (Buildings Project)

Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced

to join our Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures across building construction projects, ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.

The role requires strong experience in construction quality management, inspection, documentation, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

• Monitor and ensure compliance of construction activities with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Review and monitor contractors' QA/QC procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, method statements, and material submittals.
• Conduct inspections of construction activities and verify that works meet approved quality requirements.
• Coordinate and witness material inspections, testing, and site inspections as required.
• Review and follow up on Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Inspection Requests (IRs), test reports, and quality records.
• Identify non-conforming works and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Review and monitor NCRs, observations, and corrective action reports and ensure timely closure.
• Ensure that construction materials are approved and comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities where applicable and ensure that required quality documentation is maintained.
• Review contractors' quality documentation, inspection records, test certificates, and related reports.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, NCRs, observations, and quality-related correspondence.
• Coordinate with site engineers, discipline engineers, contractors, and project management teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in quality audits and assist in monitoring the implementation of the project's Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Dubai Municipality requirements, UAE regulations, project specifications, and relevant international standards.
• Support the preparation of regular quality reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Monitor the implementation of approved corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist with project handover by ensuring that all required quality documentation and records are properly completed and maintained.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within building construction projects.
• Previous experience working with consultants / supervision consultants is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in building construction, inspection, quality control, and construction quality management.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, material approvals, inspections, testing, and NCR management.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality requirements, UAE construction standards, and relevant international codes and standards.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, project teams, and other stakeholders.
