Role overview
The Site Engineer role covers construction and fit-out site coordination, technical issue resolution, supervision, documentation, quality, safety, and schedule monitoring.
The role involves regular site activity, inspections, meetings, and coordination with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist the project manager with technical meetings on and off site.
- Liaise with professional engineers and consultants and coordinate site activities with subcontractors.
- Handle technical and engineering problems.
- Guide supervisors and ensure progress follows the schedule.
- Maintain quality standards, conduct site inspections, and resolve technical issues on time.
- Prepare reports and method statements when necessary.
- Manage workers and monitor their work to keep the site safe and orderly.
- Supervise ongoing site activities.
- Submit architectural samples, shop drawings, and related documents to consultants or authorities.
- Coordinate site progress, periodic inspections, and construction meetings.
- Apply problem-solving to achieve progress according to the work schedule.
- Oversee construction activities and monitor schedules against master and detailed work programmes.
