Role Overview
The site draftsman converts engineering concepts and field sketches into precise, buildable technical drawings.
The role coordinates directly with construction teams on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D civil, structural, and architectural plans, sections, elevations, and shop drawings.
- Update drawings for actual site conditions, design modifications, and final construction changes.
- Conduct site surveys, take field measurements, and resolve discrepancies with physical site constraints.
- Ensure documentation meets local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Communicate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors about current plan revisions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma in civil engineering, architecture, or a relevant technical certification in CAD software.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with familiarity with BIM.
- Proven drafting experience in building construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of site measurement and construction detailing.
- A valid UAE drivers license is preferred.
