Review and prioritize work orders in partnership with the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager.
Coordinate and assign repair work to trailer technicians to maximize productivity and minimize customer downtime.
Supervise, mentor, and support technicians at all skill levels, including A, B, C, and Trainee Technicians.
Quality Control & Compliance
Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with company SOPs.
Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed according to DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Parts, Equipment & Inventory Management
Collaborate with the parts department to identify daily parts needs and order specialty components as needed.
Manage shop equipment, including preventative maintenance, repair coordination, and purchasing recommendations.
Team Development
Train, coach, and develop trailer technicians to improve skill levels and performance..
Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Minimum of 5 years of trailer maintenance and repair experience.
1-2 years of supervisory, lead technician, or shop leadership experience preferred.
Experience in a transportation, fleet maintenance, trailer repair , or service shop environment strongly preferred.
Must be available for 2nd shift
