Shipping Coordinator & Scheduler

What is the overall objective/purpose of this position?

To complete the processes to ship finished goods orders out of the facility.

Performs the manual and clerical duties related to shipping including shipping scheduling, documentation and paperwork preparation, inventory coordination and limited customer service related to outbound materials.

This position requires verifiable experience as an outbound shipping clerk processing orders using a computer and an inventory shipping/receiving systems

· Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment

· Schedules and coordinates outgoing shipment pickups by various carriers, including UPS, XPO, and other common freight carrier companies

· Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, order, or other records

· Completes shipping information in computer system, prints item shipping labels and affixes to appropriate items

· Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipment meets specifications

· Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures

· Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations

· Other duties may be assigned as necessary

This position requires the employee to be physically strong as there may be heavy lifting required.
