Overview
- Chartering and Operations: Negotiating chartering agreements and optimizing vessel utilization. Desired experience in offshore vessels, preferably in crew boats.
- Initiate, promote, develop, and maintain close commercial relationships with charterers and brokers.
- Business development, analysis of time charter opportunities, and intelligence enabling the most profitable fleet employment and business development in the shipping agency segment.
- Responsible for undertaking credit checks on existing and new charterers to ensure the Company does not enter into commercial agreements with
- unsuitable counterparties.
- Assist the management in the strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company.
- Keeping ahead of market developments and changes in rules and regulations that may impact company operations.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of a monthly market analysis report highlighting relevant factors affecting the company. Prepare or assist in the preparation of a quarterly employment and market update for inclusion in board meetings.
- Monitor operations throughout the voyage to ensure compliance with the Charter Party agreement, ensuring all recoverable are invoiced and
- promptly collected.
- The manager and fleet department ensure, where applicable, that vessel employment takes account of any drydocking requirements or technical restrictions to ensure that offhire periods are timed, where possible, so as to have minimum financial impact on the company.
- Monitor vessel performance against the budget, ensuring prompt follow-up with the relevant parties.
- Identify time and/or cost savings in ship charter agreements, negotiating the most favourable terms, providing follow-up, and reporting to the Head of
- Chartering.
- Ensure our charter agreements always comply with the company SQEMS.
- Assist the Head of Chartering in ensuring the company conforms with the documented policies and procedures covering all aspects of the chartering.
- Thorough knowledge of fleet insurance requirements. Such as obtaining quotes for policy renewals, terms negotiations, filing and follow up on claims, etc.
