Shift Operations Manager

Are you ready to lead from the front and make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment? We’re looking for a dynamic Shift Operations Manager to take charge of operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and inspire a team to deliver excellence at our Jet2 Retail Operations Centre in Middlewich, CW10 0GY, every single shift. What You’ll Be Doing As a key leader in our Retail Operations Centre, you’ll be responsible for:

Leading and developing a team of First Line Managers, Team Leaders, and up to 200 Warehouse Operatives during peak periods

Ensuring all KPIs and SLAs are met across performance, people, and compliance.

Organising labour and equipment resources to meet daily operational demands

Collaborating with planning teams and agency partners to scale staffing for seasonal volume uplifts

Driving quality assurance and process compliance across all stages of the operation

Championing Health & Safety, CAA, and HMRC standards

Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that benefit our customers, colleagues, and business.

What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who thrives on challenge and leads with confidence. You’ll need:

Proven experience in a team management role (ideally with experience of managing first line managers) within warehousing, distribution, or logistics environment.

Strong leadership and people skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude

Excellent planning and resource deployment skills

A keen eye for detail and strong numerate acumen

Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office packages

Solid understanding of Health & Safety & HR practices

Clear, effective communication across all levels of the business

Excellent people engagement skills
