Role overview
Lead the evolution of security automation as a managed capability across CIBC Cyber Delivery and Operations.
Identify and deliver automation and AI capabilities safely, consistently, and with appropriate governance.
Work with cyber teams to improve operational effectiveness while reducing disruption, unintended action, and security control failure risks.
Work arrangement
- The role uses a hybrid work arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote.
- The job location is Toronto-141 Bay, 16th Floor.
Core responsibilities
- Define the cyber security automation operating model, including intake, prioritization, backlog management, lifecycle ownership, and reporting.
- Translate business needs into requirements, acceptance criteria, risks, dependencies, and control expectations.
- Prioritize opportunities based on operational impact, risk reduction, complexity, and cyber priorities.
- Design safeguards including approvals, exception handling, monitoring, auditability, rollback, and human oversight.
- Evaluate AI-enabled automation opportunities and oversee the backlog through implementation, readiness, review, and retirement.
