Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5–10+ years of progressive professional experience in water resources engineering, preferably within a consulting environment with significant exposure to land development and/or municipal infrastructure projects.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario , or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario.
Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, drainage design, water balance, and applicable Ontario design standards and approval requirements.
Demonstrated experience with industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software such as PCSWMM, Visual OTTHYMO, and HEC-RAS . Experience with HEC-RAS 2D hydraulic modelling is considered an asset.
Proficiency in dual drainage modelling in PCSWMM is required.
Baseline proficiency in single event modelling in Visual OTTHYMO is expected.
Experience completing feature-based water balances using continuous event modelling in Visual OTTHYMO is considered an asset.
Experience with Civil 3D and familiarity with ArcGIS/GIS applications is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of water resources requirements associated with greenfield development, intensification, redevelopment, and municipal infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise, and technically sound engineering reports, memoranda, calculations, specifications, and approval submissions.
Ability to provide technical direction, mentor junior staff, coordinate multidisciplinary assignments, and manage competing project priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, municipalities, conservation authorities, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
