A government entity based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer for complex enterprise applications and digital platforms.
The role covers employee portals, HR and employee self-service, finance, procurement, supply chain, workflow systems, and other business applications.
The designer will establish enterprise standards, redesign user journeys, and contribute to AI and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct usability and interface audits across enterprise applications and prioritize improvements.
- Define a comprehensive design system covering visual styles, forms, dashboards, tables, interaction states, notifications, and errors.
- Design complex user journeys and create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, solution architects, and technical teams.
- Conduct usability testing, maintain design documentation, and support consistent implementation.
- Design extensible Arabic and English bilingual interfaces and contribute to AI-enabled applications and intelligent workflows.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 7–10 years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably in enterprise environments.
- Broad experience across multiple applications, platforms, and business domains.
- A strong portfolio covering complex enterprise, data-intensive, and workflow-driven applications.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, responsive design, and design systems.
- Strong English communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
AI and Future Technology Capability
- Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI concepts and their potential enterprise applications.
- Ability to design experiences for AI assistants, conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, AI-generated insights, and automated workflows.
- Willingness and ability to learn emerging AI technologies and user experience patterns.
- Previous AI-powered application or AI/GenAI project experience is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle APEX is advantageous.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, HRMS, workflow, or business intelligence platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Oracle Redwood design principles and WCAG accessibility guidelines is advantageous.
- Experience with UAE or GCC government entities, bilingual Arabic and English applications, or digital transformation is advantageous.
Working Environment
- The development environment is air-gapped and does not have internet connectivity.
- The secure network restricts access to search engines, online reference material, design communities, tutorials, and external AI assistants except for approved imports.
- The candidate must work independently using personal expertise and locally available documentation.
