Senior UI/UX Designer

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to own the experience layer across our digital product suite, this position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be handed wireframes to polish. Consertus is a capital program management and advisory firm that leverages digital innovation to redefine how the world gets built. We’ve managed over $300B in capital programs across 10+ industries, and we’re now building a suite of AI-agent-powered products, that are fundamentally changing how owners manage construction projects, costs, and compliance.

Our engineering team moves fast—they build with AI. Cursor, Claude, and other generative coding tools are part of how we ship. We need a designer who doesn’t just understand that world but thrives in it: someone who can co-create at the speed of AI-assisted development and translate design intent into something our team can build without losing a step.

The question we’re obsessed with: when AI can do 90% of the routine work, what does the remaining experience need to be to make our products the ones people want to use? That’s what you’ll help us figure out.

Experience designing AI-powered, AI-agent-driven, or conversational interfaces

Background in AEC, construction tech, or similar complex B2B domains (financial services, logistics, legal tech, or any domain with multi-step approval workflows and dense data)

Experience building or scaling design systems

Motion design and micro-interaction skills

Front-end fluency—enough to prototype in code, read a pull request, or communicate directly in the language of the codebase

Startup or early-stage experience where you wore multiple hats and shipped under constraints

Familiarity with AI-assisted development environments (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)—not as a developer, but as a collaborator who understands how they shape the build process

This isn’t a buzzword. Our engineering team builds AI tools every day—using Claude, Cursor, and similar platforms to dramatically accelerate development. That changes the designer’s role in a real way:

Speed: Features that used to take weeks to scaffold now take days. Your design process needs to be moved accordingly.

Communication: When a developer is prompting their way through an implementation, precision in your specs and design intent matters more than ever. Ambiguous designs create expensive detours.

Collaboration: You’ll be expected to participate in the feedback loop of AI-assisted builds—reviewing outputs, flagging drift from design intent, and helping the team course-correct in real time.

Your own tools: We expect you to bring AI into your own design workflow—whether that’s using LLMs to synthesize research, generate explorations, or accelerate documentation. If you’re still doing everything by hand, you’re leaving speed on the table.
