Role overview
AECOM is seeking a Senior Transport Planner for planning and scheduling work associated with major infrastructure and transportation projects.
The role provides technical planning advice, evaluates proposed planning products, and supports project and program decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for projects and activities carried out by others.
- Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
- Serve as a staff advisor and consultant on planning-related technical specialties, facilities, industries, equipment, or program functions.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Oversee specialized planning functions, including large-scale development proposals and environmental studies.
- Manage IE-related planning issues.
- Advise the Planning Director and public bodies on planning-related matters.
- Evaluate assigned operations and activities and prepare reports recommending improvements or modifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Typically 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
