Role Overview
WSP is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to support a diverse portfolio of transport planning projects.
The role covers transport assessments, strategic studies, active travel, public transport, research, and sustainable transport initiatives.
The position contributes across multiple projects and collaborates with clients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
Transport Planning Work
- Contribute to business cases, transport assessments, strategic network studies, development control, and consultations.
- Support active travel strategies, public transport studies, research, and travel behavior change initiatives.
- Assess transportation impacts of proposed developments and recommend infrastructure improvements.
- Prioritize active and sustainable transport modes in planning strategies.
- Perform technical work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Project Delivery
- Conduct technical reviews to maintain quality standards in project deliverables.
- Prepare client-facing technical reports and documentation for active travel and transport planning schemes.
- Understand project contracts and scope and align deliverables with client expectations.
