Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment and systems in the power plant
- Attend preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance repairs with minimum direction
- Assess technical nature of jobs and select appropriate tools and equipment
- Carry out maintenance works in adherence with EHS standards and plant operating requirements
- Use computerized maintenance system to withdraw spare parts and maintain records
- Monitor repeated breakdowns and implement resolutions to avoid recurrence
- Provide on job training to new craftsmen and direct contract workforce
- Read and understand drawings, troubleshoot, test, and diagnose failures
- Identify dangers related to high voltage equipment and carry out maintenance safely
- Act as authorized person for Permit to Work documents if appointed
Requirements
- Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in a power plant
- Knowledge of high voltage equipment and safety procedures
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- Experience with computerized maintenance systems
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and on call duties

Responsibilities

- Attend preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance repairs with minimum direction and supervision, including on call duties.
- Assess technically the nature of jobs allocated with clear understanding of relevant methods and procedures including associated risks.
- Carry out maintenance works in adherence with EHS standards and plant operating requirements.
- Use computerized maintenance system to withdraw spare parts and maintain records of all maintenance works completed.
- Monitor repeated breakdowns and suggest and implement proper resolutions to avoid recurrence.
- Provide on job training to new craftsmen and direct contract workforce.
- Read and understand drawings effectively, troubleshoot, test, and diagnose failures of production and operating plant equipment.
- Identify dangers related to High Voltage equipment and carry out maintenance and breakdown activities safely.
- If appointed in writing by EGA, act as an authorized person to receive Permit to Work documents.
