Role Overview
CNN is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact programs spanning product, technology, design, and product operations.
This is a deeply technical senior individual-contributor role involving architecture, code, product strategy, operating models, and executive decision-making.
The role owns ambiguous, multi-quarter programs that may lack a single functional owner and require sustained cross-organizational influence.
Program Leadership
- Lead technical programs from problem framing through execution, launch, adoption, and measurable customer or business impact.
- Define program strategies, outcome metrics, decision rights, sequencing, governance, integrated plans, dependencies, risks, and executive narratives.
- Resolve technical, product, organizational, and operational constraints and create alignment across leaders without relying on formal authority.
Technical Leadership
- Read, write, review, and reason about code and use coding to validate assumptions, automate work, inspect data, reproduce problems, or demonstrate solutions.
- Evaluate architecture, service boundaries, APIs, event flows, data models, cloud infrastructure, security, reliability, and integration risks.
