Role overview

The Ethoca Cloud Platform team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive strategic cloud platform, infrastructure, and engineering initiatives.

The role is an execution partner to Engineering leadership, providing program governance, roadmap planning, capacity management, stakeholder alignment, and delivery execution.

The role requires technical program management experience and understanding of Azure and cloud technologies across Engineering, Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional technical programs across cloud, infrastructure, platform, security, and engineering domains.
  • Translate business objectives, technology strategy, and operational priorities into executable roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Align priorities, scope, timelines, and delivery commitments with product managers, engineering managers, architects, and stakeholders.
  • Drive roadmap planning, prioritization, and capacity management with Engineering leadership.
  • Manage milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resource constraints, and delivery trade-offs.
  • Own Jira governance, including backlog management, workflows, reporting, dashboards, roadmap tracking, release planning, and delivery metrics.
  • Build executive reporting on program health, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate planning sessions, technical reviews, governance forums, and release readiness activities.
  • Coordinate alignment across Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Operations, and Product teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program management practices, delivery processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major programs and strategic initiatives.

Required experience and capabilities

  • Experience leading complex technical programs in software engineering, cloud, platform, infrastructure, or technology organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud-native architectures, and modern infrastructure platforms.
  • Ability to understand technical designs, architecture diagrams, APIs, infrastructure components, and platform services.
  • Experience with roadmap execution, capacity planning, program governance, and enterprise stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing complex dependencies, risks, issues, priorities, and stakeholder expectations across multiple teams.
  • Deep expertise with Jira governance, workflow administration, dashboards, reporting, dependency tracking, and release management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, prioritization, planning, and execution skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining focus on business outcomes.

Preferred experience and certifications

  • Experience supporting Azure cloud platforms, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering teams is preferred.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and cloud operations is preferred.
  • Experience managing security, compliance, resiliency, or operational readiness initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience with Aha!, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar portfolio management platforms is preferred.
  • PMP, SAFe, Agile, Scrum, Azure, AWS, or related certifications are preferred.

Compensation

  • The Canada-based role offers competitive pay based on location, experience, and qualifications.
  • The role may include eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program.
  • The stated Toronto pay range is $94,000 to $138,000 CAD.
