Description
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support European data-center infrastructure growth initiatives.
The role leads cross-functional, highly technical physical-infrastructure teams through data-center development from site due diligence to construction and operation.
The position delivers customer capacity by developing programs, identifying risks and resolving issues to meet time and budget commitments.
Role Responsibilities
- Break large, complex projects into manageable pieces and communicate goals, roles, responsibilities and outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Colo, Hybrid Colo and AWS leased or owned data centers in EMEA.
- Manage interfaces among internal stakeholder teams and external contractors and colocation vendors.
- Build delivery programs and project budgets and submit Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership.
- Work with Capacity Planning, Energy and Real Estate on short- and long-term build strategies.
- Support workflow updates, lessons learned and knowledge sharing for EMEA-wide efficiency improvements.
- Report project metrics to senior leadership and resolve complex technical and non-technical risks.
- Take ownership of multiple cross-region builds and work with partners to shape cluster growth.
