  • Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work as part of a team that supports satellite communication (SATCOM) activities, in addition to enterprise-wide systems engineering support.
  • This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required. The assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team. Location: Guam (Alexandria, VA is base not the work location)

What You Will Do

  • Operations and maintenance of complex software and hardware systems.
  • Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to perform corrective actions.
  • Crosstrain in other assigned areas and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team.
  • Support test and/or operational activities as necessary.
  • Work in elevated heights
  • Lift 50 lbs. safely
  • Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in SATCOM, IT Systems and/or RF test equipment.
  • Experience assigning tasks to meet technical objectives.
  • Experience in problem solving in time-critical situations.
  • Experience in delivering presentations.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
  • Qualifications We Prefer
  • Troubleshooting methodologies for diagnosing system problems.
  • Experience training a wide range of learning techniques and styles.
  • Security+ Certified
  • Proficient use of Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
