Senior RF Technician

• We are seeking applicants who are passionate to provide exceptional maintenance support to ADF satellite communication systems on a fixed-term basis.
• As a Field Technician you will provide operational maintenance support of SATCOM terminals and rack-based RF / communications equipment based at HMAS Harman. We are after a senior technician and will provide complete system specific training to enable the applicant to work independently immediately.
• Key Responsibilities
• Provision of specialist on and off-site maintenance services to SATCOM SPO assets
• Provision of Configuration Management support to selected mission systems
• Provision of warehouse and supply support activities for Breakdown Spares, Repairable Items and Support and Test Equipment
• Ensure compliance with governance and ITAR obligations
• Produce routine equipment maintenance reports
• Maintain strong customer relations and participate as a rostered member of the 24 x 7 x 365 on-call team
• Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
• Trade Certificate III or IV in Communications or Electronic Engineering
• Senior technician will have at least three years relevant experience post-qualification
• Knowledge of and experience with terrestrial or Satellite Communications Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel
