GovCIO is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with strong hands‑on experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) in large enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for day‑to‑day MECM operations, software distribution, patching, OS deployment, and endpoint compliance across a mission‑critical U.S.
Coast Guard program.
- Responsibilities: Administer and maintain MECM and all supporting infrastructure, including site servers, distribution points, management points, and related components to ensure reliable and efficient enterprise endpoint management operations. Package, test, and deploy software, updates, and patches across enterprise Windows endpoints. Create, update, and support task sequences for automated OS deployments, upgrades, and imaging workflows. Manage and maintain test environments to validate configurations, applications, updates, and deployment processes. Support patch management cycles, including scheduling, deployment, monitoring, reporting, and remediation. Ensure endpoint compliance with organizational security policies, STIGs, baselines, and configuration standards. Troubleshoot MECM client health issues, software distribution failures, imaging problems, and compliance discrepancies. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and operational workflows. Generate and analyze MECM reports related to deployments, compliance, and system health for internal stakeholders.
