Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain AIX and Linux operating systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functioning of AIX and Linux servers.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and regular patching.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Manage storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud based infrastructure and services (e.g., Azure).
- Implement and manage security protocols for cloud based systems.
- Participate in on call rotation and take problem resolution ownership.
Requirements
- 15 years of Unix System administration experience
- Hands on experience with AIX and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite and Ansible
- Experience with clustering technologies (Red Hat cluster, PowerHA)
- Strong background in IBM Power Systems and Blade HW technologies
- Hands on experience with VMware vSphere
- Experience with SAN and storage administration (IBM, HP 3PAR, Brocade)
- Azure Cloud administration experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent

Job Description
- The primary objective is to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable operation of IT infrastructure for the client.
- This role supports the Client Infrastructure services, ensuring seamless operation, data integrity, and optimal performance.
System Management Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX and Linux operating systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functioning of AIX and Linux servers.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and regular patching and updates.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Manage storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Continuously monitor and manage storage systems for performance and capacity.
- Oversee data storage strategies, including data archiving, replication, and migration.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud based infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect cloud based systems and data.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain infrastructure software (GPFS, PowerHA, AIX 7.1+, VIOS, PowerVM).
- Responsible for installing and managing IBM AIX systems.
- AIX and Linux Patching.
- Support day to day L3 calls on AIX/Servers/VIO Servers issues.
- Requires participation in an on call rotation.
- Take problem resolution ownership and facilitate technical bridge during operational disruption.
- Monitor events, customer support calls, and enter incidents into ServiceNow.
- Experience in File Systems, Processes, Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Manage VIO, Hardware Management Console.
- Experience in system recovery using mksysb image and Disaster Recovery.
- Experience in PowerVM virtualization services (SEA, NPIV, virtual SCSI).
- Strong Redhat Linux System administration experience.
Qualifications
- 15 Years in Unix System administration.
- Manage and administrate all Linux and Unix infrastructure services.
- Maintain updated patch management process and assure all infrastructure components are patched.
- Monitor system logs and activity on all Linux and Unix environment.
- Perform regular firmware assessment and upgrade.
- Coordinate with 3rd party suppliers/vendors for replacement of defective hardware.
- Update software and hardware inventory and documents.
- Provide scripts to automate regular tasks and jobs.
- Hands on experience on administrating RHEL and Ubuntu.
- Hands on experience on RedHat Satellite and Ansible.
- Hands on experience on administrating AIX.
- Hands on experience on administrating clustering technologies including Redhat cluster, Redhat Satellite and IBM powerHA.
