About the Role
Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a Senior Supervisor for Process Safety Management in Abu Dhabi. The role involves implementing PSM protocols, conducting hazard analysis, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols for high risk areas including molten metal handling, gas systems, and hazardous materials
- Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and ensure adherence to safety critical procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve process safety controls and mitigate risks
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, recommending corrective actions
- Facilitate investigation of workplace accidents and serious events, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Utilize data analytics to track safety performance indicators and develop dashboards and reports
Requirements
- Experience in process safety management, particularly in high risk industrial environments
- Knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, and local labor laws
- Ability to conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and use root cause methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Bowtie Analysis)
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Experience in coaching and training workers on safety topics

Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Safety department.
Process Safety Management
- Implement and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols for high risk areas.
- Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and ensure adherence to safety critical procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve process safety controls.
- Prepare Hazardous Area Classification documentation, Safety and Fire Fighting layouts, escape route, traffic management mapping and other safety drawings.
Day to Day Operations
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA, ISO 45001, local labour laws).
- Monitor adherence to safety policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to an aluminium company.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, recommending corrective actions.
Investigation & Reporting
- Facilitate investigation of workplace accidents, work related injuries and other serious events.
- Use data analysis and root cause methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Bowtie Analysis) to improve incident prevention.
- Ensure timely communication of lessons learned and best practices.
Data Analysis & Safety Performance Metrics
- Utilize data analytics to track and analyse safety performance indicators.
- Develop dashboards and reports to provide insights into safety trends and risk factors.
- Apply predictive analytics to proactively identify safety risks.
Interaction and Coaching
- Support in organizing toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.
- Coach frontline workers and supervisors on safety related topics.
- Encourage workers to follow safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
Testing & Inspection
- Be familiar with local regulatory requirements and International Standards.
- Develop and initiate routine evaluations of the workplace, advising on safety precautions.
- Identify areas of non conformance and recommend solutions.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies.
- Provide health and environmental inputs to projects.
People Management
- Observe and coach workers to comply with safety procedures and protocols.
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in safety data analytics and process safety.
- Recommend and implement data driven safety improvements.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in safety performance metrics and process safety.
