Responsibilities
- Implement approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls for the Environment department.
- Supervise the implementation of day to day operations assigned to the Environment department.
- Supervise the effective implementation of the incident investigation process and undertake investigations as necessary.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for project and operational activities.
- Develop, review and implement the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management programme.
- Conduct internal GHG assurance audits and support preparation for third party GHG audits.
- Plan, organise and conduct a wide range of Environment training courses for all levels.
- Control and coordinate all maintenance and testing of Environment protection systems throughout the plant.
- Develop and initiate routine evaluations of the workplace to identify non conformance and recommend solutions.
- Supervise the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback.
Requirements
- Supervise implementation of day to day operations for the Environment department
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for project and operational activities
