Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage subsurface engineering activities covering reservoir characterization, dynamic modelling, compositional simulation, and field development planning.
Develop field development plans, assess risks, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution.
Prepare technical documents and liaise with government and shareholder representatives on subsurface and drilling engineering matters.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
- At least 10 years of reservoir engineering experience in the oil and gas industry is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in reservoir management, field development, and reservoir simulation is required.
- Eight to ten years of hands-on experience in compositional reservoir simulation and equation-of-state modelling is required.
- Experience with gas condensate and volatile oil reservoirs is required.
- A strong background in field development planning and reserves evaluation is required.
Software Knowledge
- Petrel RE, Eclipse E100 and E300, tNavigator, and IX.
- MBAL, PVTi, and Kappa-Saphir for pressure transient analysis.
- OFM and Pipesim.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage subsurface engineering activities.
- Perform reservoir characterization and dynamic reservoir modelling.
- Conduct compositional simulation studies and field development planning.
- Develop comprehensive field development plans and conduct risk assessments.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project execution.
- Prepare and present detailed technical documents for regular meetings.
- Liaise with government and shareholder representatives on subsurface and drilling engineering matters.
