About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, specifications, calculations, drawings, and risk assessments for maintenance, refurbishment, and new-build schemes.
• Provide project management and team leadership for structural concept, scheme, and detailed design work.
• Lead structural analysis and design, inspect site works, and monitor quality and design compliance.
• Deliver reliable design solutions, reports, specifications, and drawings on time.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and ensure work follows company quality procedures.
• Manage tasks, resources, scope, programmes, budgets, technical accuracy, and project delivery.
• Present structural design approaches and technical project information to varied audiences.
• Maintain knowledge of engineering codes and practices and contribute to technical matters.

Candidate Specification

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering and membership of ICE or IStructE are required.
• International design consultancy experience and building-structures design experience are required.
• UAE experience with knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi codes, standards, and authorities is required.
• A demonstrable record of designing and delivering building-structures projects is required.
• Experience with structural analysis, design, BIM, and standard industry software is required.
• Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, and Dynamo is advantageous.
• Experience planning and monitoring programmes, costs, and resources is required.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage diverse, geographically distributed teams are required.
