Key Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, specifications, calculations, drawings, and risk assessments for maintenance, refurbishment, and new-build schemes.
• Provide project management and team leadership for concept, scheme, and detailed structural design calculations and drawings.
• Lead structural analysis and design, inspect site works, and monitor quality and compliance with design.
• Deliver reliable design solutions, reports, specifications, and drawings on time.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and ensure compliance with company quality procedures.
• Manage tasks, resources, scope, programme, budget, technical accuracy, and project delivery.
• Present structural design approaches to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain current knowledge of engineering codes and practices and contribute to technical matters at project and divisional levels.

Candidate Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering and membership of ICE, IStructE, or another professional engineering institute.
• Experience in an international design consultancy and in building-structures design with increasing responsibility and project complexity.
• UAE experience with understanding of Dubai and Abu Dhabi codes, standards, and authorities is required.
• Demonstrable record of designing and delivering building-structures projects.
• Experience with analytical/design software such as Etabs, SAFE, STAAD, Robot, RAM Concept, or Tekla Tedds.
• Experience with BIM software such as BIM 360, ACC, Navisworks, Revit, or Bluebeam.
• Rhino, Grasshopper, and Dynamo experience is advantageous.
• Experience planning and monitoring programmes, costs, and resources and managing diverse teams.
