Role Overview

Senior full-stack engineering role owning GE HealthCare’s internal AI engineering platform.

The platform provides shared libraries, standardized interfaces, code-generation tools, and automated verification for production AI solutions.

The role has substantial architectural responsibility and organizational influence and is not a management or research position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define the platform architecture, public interfaces, guarantees, privacy boundaries, and versioning promises.
  • Design replaceable components and automated isolation checks for third-party technologies.
  • Create machine-readable interfaces with automated verification between roles and components.
  • Maintain the boundary between declarative configuration and executable code.
  • Record architectural decisions, trade-offs, rejected options, and revisit conditions.
  • Lead the agent execution, secure data resolution, and configuration-driven user interface layers hands-on.
  • Build end-to-end AI applications when needed to prove platform capabilities or unblock priority use cases.
  • Own automated verification, versioning, and migration approaches for dependent applications.

Candidate Profile

  • Production application delivery experience as a senior full-stack engineer.
  • Experience owning a framework, SDK, shared library, or internal developer platform used by other engineering teams.
  • Experience living with and correcting abstraction decisions while consumers depend on them.
  • Ability to establish engineering standards through automation rather than documentation.
  • Ability to design reliable interfaces, component boundaries, and automated safeguards.
  • Hands-on capability across front-end, back-end, and AI agent application development.

Business Context

GE HealthCare’s Chief Data and Analytics Office is delivering strategic AI programs across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence.

The platform is intended to help data scientists deliver secure, reliable, observable, supportable enterprise AI systems.

The platform is designed to reduce dependence on scarce software engineering, infrastructure, security, and front-end expertise.
