SENIOR SQL SERVER DATABASE DEVELOPER / DATA ENGINEER

POSITION IS 100% ONSITE DAILY IN NORCO, CA

Job Summary The SQL Server Database Developer shall serve as the senior technical lead for SQL Server database development, data migration, data warehouse/data mart architecture, and ETL/ELT initiatives supporting Navy mission systems and enterprise data platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes.
• Support OLTP database design including normalization, constraints, keys, and referential integrity.
• Develop and maintain Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions utilizing dimensional modeling and star schema design.
• Create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and data integration solutions for loading data from files, APIs, staging environments, and external systems.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and data quality assessments.
• Support migration activities between PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and other relational database platforms.
• Create and maintain database documentation including ERDs, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and technical design documentation.
• Develop reporting views and curated datasets to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Analyze execution plans and perform query tuning, indexing optimization, and database performance improvements.
• Support software releases, deployments, testing, and environment promotion activities across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.

• Minimum 8 years of Microsoft SQL Server database development experience.
