Senior Specialist - Loan Underwriting

The Loan Underwriting area activities may include:

Evaluates and approves or denies loan applications according to business unit standards in a timely manner.

Gathers information as necessary to make sound decisions.

Responds to internal and external customer inquiries as necessary.

Performs other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and business unit.

Other duties as assigned.

Requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities typically include:

Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.

Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees.

Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.

Typically requires 7+ years relevant experience

May require vocational or technical training

May require obtaining and/or maintaining NMLS registration
