Senior Solutions Engineer

Role Overview

Customer Engagement

• Consult with prospects and customers to define challenges, identify opportunities, and map needs to the Couchbase Ecosystem.
• Educate stakeholders, challenge assumptions, provide trusted advice, and present creative approaches and solutions.

Discovery and Sales Support

• Support technical and business discovery through workshops and demonstrations across multiple opportunities.
• Partner with sales on account strategy and identify additional opportunities in existing and new accounts.

Proofs of Concept and Presentations

• Manage customer proof-of-concept and pilot success through acceptance criteria, issue escalation, and resolution.
• Deliver company and product presentations and demonstrations tailored to technical and executive audiences.

Technical Advisory

• Explain Couchbase applicability and business value to managers, architects, developers, and other technical stakeholders.
• Maintain technical product expertise, monitor the competitive data-solutions landscape, and create deployment and best-practice collateral.
• Provide customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering and represent the customer perspective.

Required Background

• Experience in presales, software development, and developing business solutions.
• Experience with enterprise programming languages and solution development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 or more years in a presales, customer-facing, or consulting role and 3 or more years in software development or related industries.
• Familiarity with NoSQL or distributed high-performance systems and strong technical presentation skills.
• Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, C, or SQL and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing database solutions involving data modeling, indexes, and query optimization.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
