Role summary
The Senior Software Engineer will join the Studios team and be embedded on Jeopardy or Song Quiz.
The role covers the full game development lifecycle using TypeScript, React, and AWS GameLift Streams.
The position supports development velocity on two strategically important game titles.
Work arrangement
- The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site attendance in the Bay Area office three times per week.
- Candidates should reside near the Bay Area or be willing to relocate for on-site work.
What you will do
- Own game features from idea through prototype, production, release, and live iteration.
- Improve processes, deployment pipelines, test coverage, and knowledge sharing.
- Use usage data, telemetry, player feedback, and bug reports to improve player experiences.
- Ensure cross-device compatibility and make product decisions based on user value.
- Identify risks, shape engineering decisions, and mentor teammates.
Candidate qualifications
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with TypeScript and React.
- Experience shipping and owning real-time or game-adjacent products at scale.
- Experience collaborating with teams and working directly with product and design.
- Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, multi-platform compatibility, and product-oriented delivery.
Bonus skills and stack
- Bonus experience includes Unity or Unreal Engine, shaders, WebGL, ThreeJS, AWS EC2, AWS Lambda, React Three Fiber, and live-ops or games-as-a-service titles.
- The stated stack includes TypeScript, React, ThreeJS, React Three Fiber, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
