About the Team and Role
Embedded Innovation Teams are cross-functional squads that turn internal AI experimentation into validated, reusable solutions.
The role works on research, design, and software development assignments within an innovation squad's product area.
The engineer translates stakeholder and end-user requests into workable solutions and contributes to project plans, schedules, and delivery approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept and ship agentic AI solutions to production standard.
- Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows.
- Develop evaluation, observability, guardrails, logging, instrumentation, and alerting for agentic systems.
- Capture usage and outcome data against established baselines.
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise workflows and systems.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and contribute to detailed specifications.
- Complete bug fixes, identify risks and blockers, and maintain high code quality and documentation.
- Implement CI/CD, modern delivery practices, coding standards, and code reviews.
- Create reusable patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits.
- Pair-program, support handover and capability building, and mentor less senior engineers.
