Role Overview
RELX is hiring a Senior Software Engineer / Senior AI Engineer for an embedded Innovation Squad.
The squad develops reusable AI solutions by working directly with internal segment and function teams.
The role covers research, design, software development, and delivery of validated AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept and ship agentic AI solutions to production standard.
- Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows.
- Develop evaluation, observability, guardrails, logging, instrumentation, and alerting for agentic systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise workflows through existing systems and data pipelines.
- Translate product requirements into software designs that fit real user workflows.
- Complete bug fixes, identify technical risks, and apply continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices.
- Maintain code quality and documentation while creating reusable patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits.
- Pair-program, support handover and capability building, and mentor less senior engineers.
Requirements
- Four or more years of software engineering experience, ideally with AI-enabled or data-intensive systems.
