The team builds and operates internal engineering platforms spanning CI/CD infrastructure and Python tooling and services.
The role covers automation, compliance, and platform reliability across multiple codebases and domains.
The position includes end-to-end ownership from design and implementation through rollout and operability.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Python tools and services, including command-line interfaces and APIs, used by multiple teams.
- Improve software engineering quality through architecture, testing strategy, code reviews, releases, and documentation.
- Automate CI/CD workflows and platform operations with an infrastructure-as-code and reliability mindset.
- Build and operate monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance troubleshooting components.
- Work with internal engineering teams to understand workflow pain points and deliver practical solutions.
- Triage and mitigate support tickets and incidents, then contribute to postmortems and preventive automation.
Required qualifications
- Strong professional experience building production-grade Python software, services, libraries, or tooling.
- Strong software engineering practices covering clean design, testing, maintainable architecture, CI, and documentation.
- Comfort with a DevOps or SRE-style environment that is automation-first, monitoring-driven, and security-aware.
- Ability to context-switch, learn quickly, and improve systems used by many teams.
- B.Tech or B.E. degree.
- 8 to 10 years of experience.
Preferred skills
- CI/CD and platform experience, including Jenkins or Git-based workflows.
- Container orchestration experience.
- Documentation tooling and developer experience improvement experience.
Work style
- The team collaborates across locations and time zones mainly through video calls and online tools.
- The team works in an agile way using Scrum and regular PI Planning.
