Senior Software Engineer – Platform Engineering

Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native application platforms on OCI.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including OKE.
• Develop Terraform Infrastructure as Code solutions and automation frameworks.
• Build reusable platform components and self-service engineering capabilities.
• Improve reliability with automated rollbacks, deployment validation, and release orchestration.
• Collaborate on production troubleshooting and platform stability improvements.
• Monitor application health, infrastructure performance, and availability with observability platforms.
• Implement cloud security practices, secrets management, SSL certificate management, and access controls.
• Optimize infrastructure utilization, scalability, availability, and costs.
• Automate operational tasks with Python, Node.js, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Support releases, incident management, root cause analysis, documentation, and continuous service improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Two to five years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or SRE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, preferably OKE.
• Strong Docker and containerized application deployment experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on Terraform Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Node.js for automation and operational scripting.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, load balancers, SSL/TLS, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed applications and production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Helm Charts.
• Experience with Cloudflare CDN, DNS, WAF, load balancing, and Tunnel configurations.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience implementing GitOps with tools such as ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native application architecture.
• Experience with security scanning, vulnerability management, and infrastructure hardening.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and resource utilization strategies.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum software development environments.
• Hands-on experience with Software Defined Networking concepts.
• Experience with Proxmox, OKD/OpenShift, or similar enterprise virtualization and container platforms.
