The team builds and operates scalable API integrations with financial institutions across Europe.
The Senior Software Engineer designs, builds, and operates secure, reliable backend services at scale.
The role involves complex engineering problems, system design decisions, and high-quality production solutions.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, test, and support scalable APIs and backend services.
- Contribute to system design decisions focused on scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Deliver production-ready code across the full software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain system stability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices and standards.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and SRE teams.
- Improve observability, automation, and operational efficiency across services.
Technology Stack
- Backend technologies include C#, .NET, and Web APIs.
- Cloud technologies include Azure App Services, Key Vault, and Blob Storage, along with AWS S3, Redis, and microservices.
- Data technologies include PostgreSQL and Flyway.
- Engineering practices include CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure development.
- Java, Spring Boot, and AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot are listed as additional technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience building cloud-based distributed backend systems.
- Solid expertise in API development, scalability, and production support.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems with a structured, pragmatic approach.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, testing practices, and secure coding principles.
- Proven ability to own and deliver components or services independently.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payments, banking, or Open Banking PSD2 environments is preferred.
- Experience with microservices architectures is preferred.
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and incident response is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is preferred.
