Perform complex research, design, and software development within a software functional area or product line.
Provide input to plans, schedules, and methodologies for cross-functional software products.
Design software across multiple systems, mentor junior team members, and translate user requests into solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for external technology resources.
- Provide design input across a product.
- Work directly with customers and end users.
- Act as the go-to person for coding and technical issues.
- Interface with technical personnel to finalize requirements.
- Write and review specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Complete complex bug fixes.
- Mentor lead software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- At least nine years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Java software engineering and development.
- Expertise in Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
- Expertise in AWS ECS, S3, SQS, Step Functions, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS databases.
- Knowledge of React front-end development.
- Expertise in resolving open-source Java security vulnerabilities.
- Expertise in test-driven development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of payment processors and payment web-service integration.
- Experience leading internal and external technology resources.
- Knowledge of software architecture, Agile methodologies, data manipulation, planning, and change management.
- Advanced problem-solving, communication, presentation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
