Perform complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line.
Provide input to project plans, schedules, and methodologies for cross-functional software products.
Perform software design across multiple systems, mentor junior team members, and translate user and customer requests into solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.
- Provide design input across a product and work directly with customers and end users.
- Serve as the acknowledged go-to person for coding and technical issues.
- Interface with technical personnel to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Complete complex bug fixes.
- Mentor software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of software engineering experience.
- A BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Java software engineering and development.
- Expertise in Apache Camel, Spring Boot, AWS cloud technologies, and AWS DevOps.
- Knowledge of React front-end development.
- Expertise in resolving security vulnerabilities in open-source Java technologies.
- Experience with payment processors and payment web services.
- Expertise in test-driven development and applicable software development methodologies such as Agile.
- Strong architecture, communication, customer service, organization, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with managed services and/or staff augmentation resource models.
