RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain our authentication code in our shared Rust core library, Angular clients, and IdentityServer back-end
- Scope and refine upcoming initiatives, working collaboratively across teams to design, document, and communicate forward-looking solutions
- Contribute constructively in team discussions - synchronous and asynchronous - building shared understanding and driving toward actionable results
- Provide timely, thorough, and well-reasoned code reviews
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve bugs reported by our community and our customers
- Update and validate core dependencies to ensure a secure and stable supply chain
WHAT YOU BRING TO BITWARDEN
Extensive experience developing in Angular/.NET experience a strong plus
Familiarity with integrating Rust into other clients using WASM and UNIFFI bindings
Understanding of modern web authentication concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WebAuthn)
Experience working with Claude/LLMs or an openness to learn how to work the technology
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate complex problems
Attention to detail; we take our responsibility for authenticating our users very seriously
Knowledge of modern encryption techniques and principles of secure development are a plus
Collaborative and adaptable mindset
Openness and authenticity combined with excellent communication skills
Excitement and enthusiasm for open source and for better internet security
Excellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers, but you know how to find and communicate the solution

In the United States, the starting base compensation range for this role is $180,000 - $215,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, relevant experience, and skill set as assessed in the interview process, as well as market data by location. See our careers page for a list of benefits. Please note that compensation outside the U.S. will differ based on the market.
