Senior Software Engineer -Front End Development

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable browser experiences for the Fabric Platform.
• Work with engineering managers and developers on full-stack and backend delivery.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, program managers, and engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and write high-quality code.

Coding and design

• Review and write code, maintain test coverage, debug proactively, and promote secure and maintainable coding practices.
• Create test strategies, improve test suites, and own architecture decisions for performance, security, and compliance.
• Apply secure design principles, automate production and deployment, and support regulatory compliance.

Implementation and reliability

• Drive project planning and estimation, automate deployments, measure impact, and manage rollback plans.
• Integrate logging and telemetry, resolve incidents, maintain live-site operations, and improve support documentation.
• Confirm user requirements, incorporate customer feedback, and advocate for user security and privacy.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of web application development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a popular frontend framework.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience developing complex web applications and frontend architectures.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of engineering experience, or master's degree with 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
• Experience building developer and user experiences for modern analytics systems.
• Collaborative problem-solving skills, customer empathy, curiosity, and self-motivation.

Compensation

• The typical base pay range across Canada is CAD $114,400 to CAD $203,900 per year.
