Role Overview

Must-Have Skills

• Advanced Jira workflow design, automation, governance, and administration are required.
• Hands-on Confluence add-on and plugin evaluation, configuration, governance, and content architecture experience is required.
• Ownership and administration of the Atlassian Cloud platform are required.

Core Technical Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JSON, YAML, and Groovy is required for configuration-driven automation and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, and modern CI/CD toolchains is required.
• Understanding of cloud and platform architecture, DevOps principles, and enterprise security and compliance is required.
• IAM, audit readiness, and data protection are part of the enterprise security and compliance context.

Responsibilities

• Own central development platforms across cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Improve developer experience through platform automation, self-service capabilities, and AI or generative AI integration.
• Manage platform roadmaps, releases, licensing, and cost control.
• Partner with development, IT security, enterprise architecture, procurement, and external vendor stakeholders.
• Standardize and scale software development processes across the ZEISS Group.

Basic Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable IT-related qualification is required.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders at operational and strategic levels is expected.
• A structured, proactive, and self-driven working style focused on value and usability is expected.
