Role overview
A growing enterprise technology organization is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer.
The role designs, develops, and delivers scalable cloud-based applications and services.
The engineer focuses primarily on backend development while contributing to frontend initiatives as needed.
The role involves digital platforms, APIs, customer-facing applications, microservices, and DevOps-driven delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed applications.
- Develop cloud-native microservices using AWS technologies and modern frameworks.
- Create and support RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, solution design, and proof-of-concept development.
- Refactor applications to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Create reusable components and shared services with engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile planning, estimation, testing, deployment, and release management.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and gather stakeholder feedback.
- Track defects, enhancements, feature requests, project risks, and technical challenges.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and solution designs.
