About the Role
RELX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build high-quality software solutions for products supporting digital clinical education and electronic health records.
The role involves complex software development across multiple systems and products, with collaboration, technical excellence, and mentoring responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop complex software solutions across multiple systems and products.
- Translate business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Finalize requirements, write and review detailed specifications, complete complex bug fixes, and resolve technical issues.
- Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews across Agile, Waterfall, and other environments.
- Train entry-level software engineers on critical aspects of their roles as directed by management.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation language, optimization techniques, normalized and dimensional data modeling, and multiple data storage subsystems.
- Expertise in applicable development languages and environments, including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
