Job Summary

Senior member of the construction supervision team responsible for financial administration of supervision contracts.

Verifies contractor payment applications against supplier invoices and measurement records.

Ensures contractors are paid for actual work in accordance with contractual measurement methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project and resident managers with client relations, clarifications, payment certificates, and contractor claims.
  • Review work programs, submittals, specifications, bills of quantities, drawings, and payment documents.
  • Agree rates for new work items and advise on discrepancies in contract documents and measurement methods.
  • Review contractor claims and executed quantities against drawings, measurement sheets, and invoices.
  • Monitor site work, daily activities, resource allocation, and the daily site diary.
  • Prepare progress reports, assist with monthly cost reports, and ensure handover documentation is complete.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and snag lists during handover and the defects liability period.
  • Implement corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and planning industry.
  • At least 10 years of engineering services experience, particularly in quantity surveying.
  • Demonstrated experience with FIDIC Clauses and experience within the Middle East.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of construction supervision services.
  • Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Good financial planning, budgeting, analytical, problem-solving, time-management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.

Learning and Growth

Conduct project close-out activities and capture lessons learned.

Upload relevant project materials to the company knowledge management repository.

Attend periodic training to develop relevant skills.
