Senior Site Project Manager (Abu Dhabi Projects)

Role Overview

Client and Stakeholder Management

• Lead coordination with clients for project commencement orders and manage client expectations, progress, risks, and clarifications.
• Coordinate with local authorities to obtain approvals, licenses, and permits.
• Lead kick-off meetings and align stakeholders on major or highly complex projects.
• Support proposals with delivery cost, margin, technical, commercial, and project risk input.

Project Controls and Contracts

• Review and approve contractor work programmes, QA/QC plans, HSSE plans, and project risk management plans.
• Monitor schedules, investigate delays, manage scope changes, and review contractor RFIs.
• Review claims, variation orders, payment certificates, unit rates, and contract deliverables.
• Prepare client invoices and follow up on timely collection.

Quality, HSSE, and Construction Delivery

• Guide quality inspections and ensure non-conformities are addressed.
• Ensure HSSE procedures, site inspections, defect recording, and accident investigations are implemented.
• Ensure materials testing, laboratory approvals, batch plant inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure revised construction drawings, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty certificates are delivered.

Completion and Governance

• Ensure final inspections, testing, commissioning, handover, snag recording, and defects liability re-inspections are completed.
• Guide takeover certificates, defect liability certificates, final accounts, and statements of completion.
• Guide project progress reports and implement corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• A Master’s degree in Engineering, PMP certification, and Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, international engineering standards, local regulations, project management, leadership, and communication is required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English is required.

Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and planning within a top-tier regional or multinational consultancy.
• Demonstrated deep expertise in construction supervision and client relationship management.
• Exposure to client, contractor, supplier, contract, quality, and dispute management across construction supervision.
• Industry experience in the Middle East is required.
